Hey everyone, I have some updates for you. First of all, we are looking forward to our spring concert this Thursday with the Musician's Guild. It is called "Spring Spectacle" and will be taking place at 7:30PM in the Hawk's Hangout. We have three bands playing which are Forest Henderson, Cambiata, and Stealing Jane. So definitely come by to have a great time and see some great bands. We also wanted to give you a heads up about this summer. We will be moving our antenna in May so we will be off air throughout the summer. Fortunately, the listen live will still be up and running so be sure to still tune into WQRI through your computer. We should be up and running again on the air waves that coming Fall. I will also be adding more events to the website shortly so check those out on the left side of this page.

Well, we have all been very busy here at WQRI. First of all, speeches for the Eboard elections took place this week and we are still collecting all the voting ballots together. I'll post the final results as soon as we have each vote counted. In other news, we had the acoustic concert last week with Joe Auger and a few other performances which was a whole lot of fun. The next concert to be on March 13th, which is a Thursday; two different musical acts, Abby and the Speedbumps, will be plays as well as the weekly open mic, Expression, before that. No doubt that will be a very fun night so please come check that out. I've still been gathering together and uploading all the DJ's show descriptions in the Schedule section of the website so you can easily find out information about all out sweet shows. And below this you will find all the minutes recorded by our lovely secretary, Dina, below this.

Hey everyone, I finally started uploading show blurbs to the schedule and started modifying the FAQ section. Also, I am going to add a link to our forum and a link to download the student handbook in the About Us section, so be sure to check all of that out. Other than that, we had a few new nominations last night for Eboard elections so I have added them to the list below in the previous post. The speeches will take place at the meeting next week succeeded by the actual voting. This will be a very important meeting as you certainly will want to get your vote in for the Eboard next year. That is all.

So, we have decided to start posting the minutes that Dina records at our general staff and eboard meetings right here on the website. So every week I will make a new post and provide links so you will be able to download the minutes. This is great if you ever miss a meeting then you will be able to easily read everything you missed here. Other than that, be sure to check out the schedule I will be gathering together all the show blurbs together and uploading those soon and we will be changing the FAQ section, email me any questions you would like to see added to that page. A Few Updates
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates lately but finally, I'm sitting down and spending lot's of time on the website updating everything. Myself and the rest of the WQRI eboard went on a retreat with the rest of the Eboards of the other orgs on campus this past weekend. We learned quite a lot through different activities and speeches and we hope to use this new information to better WQRI this semester. All the DJs have been starting their shows so certainly tune in whenever you can and request a song. Next week, Monday 2/11 through Thursday 2/14, we will be having an on air raffle giving away valentines candy so be sure to listen in those days and win some candy for your sweetheart. Also, I've started working on a forum for WQRI which can be found here. It is very basic at the moment but please email me if you have any ideas to add to it. WQRI will be having elections for the 2008-2009 Eboard in the next few weeks. If you are interested in running please let us know and if you have any interest in seeing exactly what the Eboard does you are more than welcome to stop by our office hours. And don't ever feel too afraid to run for a position; we have been doing plenty of work making transition binders that will provide more than enough information about everything that is involved with the positions. But other than that, I think that's about it for now; check out the Events tab to see all the fun and crazy events coming up on the campus. Peace!
End Of Semester
Hello there, so we are just about wrapping everything up for WQRI this Fall 2007. I have added the specialty programming schedule here so check that out to see all the fun shows next week. I also added all the last events for the end of the semester on the Events tab to the left of the website. Other than that, I hope everyone has a great break and I am excited for another great semester for WQRI in the Spring. See you then!
Updates
Hey everyone, just wanted to fill you in with a few updates going on with WQRI. First of all, Kelleigh Welch has been chosen as the new live director! We're looking forward to having her on the Eboard for the rest of the year, there should be a lot of fun stuff going on with the live unit. She will be setting up a live committee soon so certainly look into that if you are looking to partake in the live events, they are a really fun time. Speaking of which, we will be playing music at the Fall Classic this Sunday from 11:00AM-4:00PM, this will be located on the architecture field so stop by and support WQRI! Also, we will have a table set up at the Student Leader Extravaganza this Saturday from 9:45AM-11:00AM in the Hawk's Hangout, our table will have information about the club showing people what WQRI is all about. We would love to have you come support us. So that's about all, but we hope to see you at the numerous events this weekend, have a good one.
Show Blurbs
I have started uploading the show blurbs and they are looking good! Amy is helping me type of some of them but most of the ones that were given to me already are up. If you still haven't given me your show blurb form please do and I will get that right up there. If there are any problems please let me know.
Foliage Fest
I just wanted to make sure everyone knows all the details about the concert this weekend because it is going to be awesome! It is going to be this Sunday, September 30th at 2:00 behind the NAB (rain location is inside the Hawk's Hangout). The concert will begin with 2 RWU bands, The Remorse Code and The Hollow Sound. After that The Coming Weak from Providence will play and lastly The Bay State from Licoln, MA will end the show. It should be a great time so come on by with a blanket and prepare to hear some awesome music.
